Jointly owned by Lodovico Antinori (former owner of Ornellaia) and Piero Antinori, the Mount Nelson estate consists of 12 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc at the foot of the Wither Hills in Marlborough. The wine is made by Helena Lindberg from the pristine fruit harvested from the free-draining alluvial loam's and deep river deposits of their vineyards.
The pristine Sauvignon Blanc from the Mount Nelson estate seems to bridge the divide between the new and old world combining the exuberance and punchy flavours of the former with the structure and minerality of its old-world counterparts. Beautifully constructed wine that has gained glowing reviews in the international wine press.
