  • Bremerton's Premium range of wines are created from concentrated, high quality parcels of fruit from Langhorne Creek. These wines will evolve and open up with careful cellaring.

The 2013 Walter Cabernet is very secretive as it takes its time to reveal itself, a powerful wine that will not only evolve in the glass but will reward you with patience in the cellar.

Individual Cabernet Sauvignon parcels were fermented in open vats then matured in new and seasoned French oak barrels for 22 months. Two years additional bottle maturation allows further flavour development and tannin integration before the wine's release.

The 2013 Walter’s Reserve Cabernet is a powerful yet elegant wine, showing gorgeous varietal notes of blackberry, bramble and earth, complemented by subtle influences of chocolate and savoury nuances. The wine is supported by a fine, defining, elegant tannin structure and shows spice and complexity from the careful use of new French oak.

'Deep red/purple colour, with an attractively blackberry cabernet nose, typical of the grape and very ripe, but not overripe. It's full-bodied and deep in fruit flavour and fine, soft tannins. A quite statuesque cabernet, with bright acidity and a firm finish, which continues on and on.'

'Gosh, no shortage of colour; unusual, appealing aromas of curry powder and new leather with the full-bodied palate laden with ripe blackberry/mulberries/currants and dusty, Aussie bush eucalypt/bark nuances. Sweet-sour acid tang keeping everything fresh.'
93 Points - Jane Faulkner, Halliday's Wine Companion

'Gorgeous red and blue fruits with vanilla overtones. The palate is bright and balanced, medium-bodied, with pure cherry and redcurrant fruit and integrated acidity. A well-composed wine.'
93 Points - Toni Paterson, The Real Review

'Sturdy and substantial. Deep colour and flavour. Sweet fruit tempered with toasty oak and chains of dry tannin. It’s pretty much as you’d expect, its size and warmth kept neat, its oak and fruit well married, its notes of eucalypt and mulberry at home in the main river of blackcurrant.'
