'It is the structure, texture and precise finish of this wine that sees you coming back for more. Blackberry, licorice, anise, a touch of tar and dried herbs - the palate sings with a myriad of flavours and fine, savoury tannins driving the length.'
95 Points - James Halliday

  • This Heirloom Vineyards Eden Valley Shiraz was produced from our best Eden Valley Shiraz Vineyard whose clones and viticulture embody the very best in cutting edge but old school viticulture and winemaking. Hand tended vines, sorted bunch-by-bunch, naturally open fermented, basket pressed and stored in French oak barriques from bespoke coopers.

Being an old vine cooler climate Shiraz the wine has an intense bright purple hue and an inkier royal red carpet colour closer to the center of the glass.

  • WINEMAKER'S NOTES

This Heirloom Vineyards Eden Valley Shiraz has lifted red fruit signature of Eden Shiraz, but its site also offers some very unique and distinctive aromas of blackberry and intriguing notes of a spice, and the perfume of blueberries. The palate is cool, fresh and lightly, but persistently fruity and very zingy. The finish is fine, natural and unforced. This is a masterful essay in winemaking and sense of place. It's a delicious, confident drink.

    TASTING NOTES

An extraordinary Shiraz from the Eden Valley that will cellar well, 10, 20, 30+ or more years, but is so deliciously perfect now any argument for delayed gratification is almost academic.
