  • Sharmans Wines is the oldest existing vineyard in Relbia, Tasmania, and has a strong reputation for producing a range of award-winning Tasmanian wines, including award-winning Pinot Noir, Sparkling, Riesling, and Chardonnay (oaked and unoaked); our most outstanding wines being Pinot Noirs, predominantly from vines that are 25 to 30 years old.

  • TASTING NOTES

A typically intense nose of dark cherry and plum, intermixed with a touch of sour cherry and earthy ground coffee. This is a full-bodied Pinot Noir with impressive concentration and depth. The palate possesses rich, full and plush flavours of ripe dark red to black stone fruit with a hint of chocolate and oak.

    Alc/vol - 14.0%

  • REVIEWS

'Five clones, hand-picked, 25% whole bunches, the remainder whole berries, open-fermented, wild yeast, 13 days on skins, matured in French oak (25% new). Excellent hue and depth; the voluminous cherry/plum bouquet is replicated on the voluptuous palate, full to the brim with Pinot fruit, persistent fine tannins and quality French oak. A thunderous answer to Central Otago's biggest and best.'
