Premier Cru Chablis, from a producer known (and loved) the world over for producing, expressive, full-flavoured styles of wine, with zeal and fruit aplenty.
This family-run estate was established in 1850, and the vines used to produce this 2015 were sourced from vines 30-45 years of age. Look for classically articulated notes of mineral, pear and apple on the nose and palate with a dynamic freshness and lift. Alain Geoffroy's Beauroy is noted for the particular clarity and precision it achieves. Enjoy with seafood.
Made solely from Chardonnay, from a south-east exposure vineyard that is 20-40 years old. Geology of the area is the classic Kimmeridgian clay of Chablis. Matured in tank.
The Chablis vineyard is located on south/south-east and south-west slopes facing the Serein river. The average altitude is 120 to 150 metres above sea level. The Chablis subsoil, consisting of lime marl and oyster fossils (kimmeridgian), is rich and porous, allowing deep rooting of the vines and even water intake.
It has an intense bouquet of honey and verbena, rich in minerals and with a very sustained flavour. It has great flinty typicity and clear green-gold colour, subtle and elegant with plenty of power.
Traditional Chablis, as it always used to be. Fresh, fine and fruity with a mineral core and a blazing acidity. Effortless to drink.
