  • Graziano Prà lives the vigneron life with the authentic passion of a craftsman, following the family tradition of his father and grandfather. In Monteforte d'Alpone the ancient black soils of volcanic basalt, have contributed to enhance the wines of Soave. Prà was able to capture the best from the extraordinary terroir of his vineyards, creating wines of great finesse and elegance, characterized by a pleasant mineral vein.

  • WINEMAKER'S NOTES

    The Soave Classico DOC "Otto" of Graziano Prà is a beautiful and simple version of a wine with noble and ancient traditions. The vineyards are in one of the most suitable areas, in the municipality of Monteforte d'Alpone, at about 150-250 meters above sea level, with south-east exposure. The soils are of volcanic origin with prevalence of basalts, which give the wine intense mineral notes and aromatic complexity. After soft pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine ages in steel for a few months before bottling.

    TASTING NOTES

    Straw yellow in color, the nose expresses aromas of white flowers and fresh fruity notes, balanced with a stony minerality. On the palate the wine opens up with notes of yellow and stone fruits, well balanced by a lively mineral acidity and a definitive freshness. The finish is long and linear, with subtle almond nuances.

The 2016 Otto certainly has nuances of ripe peach-like fruitiness, but the excitement comes from the interplay of the fruitiness and minerality with exhilarating acidity. It has good weight without being heavy.'
