  • THE BRIEF
  • La Strada is Fromm winery’s second label which consists of a range of premium wines, ready for drinking upon release with short to medium term cellaring potential.

The La Strada Sauvignon Blanc is a classic release that embodies the quality that Fromm winery is known for.

  • THE FINER DETAILS
  • Fromm produces a classic style of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Fruit is hand-picked early in the season to retain the fresh crisp acidity that is so much a part of the Marlborough style. They add additional complexity at the Winery by aging a portion of the wine in old French barrels, adding weight and texture to the final wine.

    WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?

Leading with ripe fruit aromas of passionfruit, limes and Meyer lemons the nose then reveals orange blossom florals, the faintest hint of aniseed spice and subtle flintstone minerality. The palate is complex and textural with enveloping fruit weight and balanced acidity. Certified organic, hand-picked, whole bunch pressed and fermented to bone dry.

  • WHO MADE IT?
  • The name La Strada literally means The Road, symbolically it represents the connection of old world winemaking. La Strada is Fromm winery’s second label which consists of a range of premium wines, ready for drinking upon release with short to medium term cellaring potential.

    SAM KIM - WINE ORBIT

A lovely elegant rendition made from hand-picked and whole bunch pressed grapes grown in the Middle Wairau Valley, the delicately lifted bouquet shows feijoa, green rockmelon, lime zest and subtle flinty characters. It is finely textured and linear on the palate, and delivers pristine fruit flavours together with whispering savoury undertones, brilliantly structured by mouth-watering acidity. A gorgeous food partner. At its best: now to 2020.

Flavoursome sauvignon blanc with gooseberry, lemon grass, mineral and a suggestion of passionfruit. The wine has good purity and a lingering finish. Strongly varietal - good food wine

Nicely worked reduction across lime and grapefruit citrus. The palate rolls out super smooth and even. Bright, pithy and balanced. Drink now. Screw cap.
