This carefully tended vineyard with its manicured rows of vines and innovative viticultural practices is a stark contrast to the windblown, surrounding hills, the towering eucalypts and rocky granite outcrops. Heggies is an estate where 'terroir' is showcased in wines of fine minerality, flavour and balance.
HUON HOOKE - THE REAL REVIEW
Light straw colour, with a most unusual straw-like, almost resinous aroma, seemingly harvested too early, as it is lean and short and even a bit hollow. A pleasant enough wine, but it's hardly generous. Will age bring more out of it?
