Lawley Farm is an entirely new proposition for most, but when you discover who is behind the label, you quickly realise it's a winery that is in safe hands. Lawley Farm is the project of Grant and Trent Burge, using their very own stable of vineyards in the Barossa and High Eden.
This Shiraz Cabernet is a fine Barossa blend that ticks all the boxes, quality, value and, most importantly, delicious to drink.
Lawley Farm is a Barossa vineyard owned and managed by the 6th generation of the Burge family, that produces exceptional fruit year on year.
This red is a classic blend of Barossa Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, the style intended to be medium to full bodied, with more older oak than new to lift up the fruit.
Boysenberry, toffee malted oak, plum and mulberry.
There’s no better way to get to the top of your field than to learn from the best and when your dad is Grant Burge, you’ve got a pretty good start. And boy, has Trent Burge made the most of that start. Stepping out of his father’s shadow, Trent is now rightly considered one of the Barossa’s best young winemakers in his own right. A hands on winemaker who has learned his craft from the ground up, Trent is the man behind ‘Family Wine Estates’ and we couldn’t be more excited to be working with him.
SAM KIM - WINE ORBIT
It is sweetly fragrant on the nose showing dark fruit intensity together with vanilla, cake spice, olive and cedar nuances. The palate delivers terrific fruit weight and succulent mouthfeel, wonderfully complemented by silky texture and chalky tannins. Superbly expressive and highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2024.
