  • “Good wine can be made in the winery, but great wine is made in the vineyard. We focus on managing the vineyard to produce the healthiest, clean and intense fruit characters possible” - Robin Brockett, Chief Winemaker

Established in 1982, Scotchmans Hill has been a consistent producer of well made wines under the stewardship of long-term winemaker Robin Brocket and assistant Marcus Holt. The wines are released under the Scotchmans Hill, Cornelius, Jack and Jill and Swan Bay labels. A change of ownership in 2014 has resulted in significant vineyard investment.

Our 2016 Scotchmans Hill Chardonnay is focused yet elegant with layers of complexity. Grapefruit, melon and white peach fruits dominate with creamy mid-palate, bready texture and mineral backbone giving way to a nutty oak finish.

This wine has been made for the long haul and will reward cellaring over the next 4 to 6 years.

    Alc/vol - 13.5%

'Estate-grown and made by long-term winemaker Robin Brockett with unrelenting attention to detail. A beautifully weighted and composed wine, with pink grapefruit and white peach sharing the fruit message, which is given equal support by integrated oak and crisp acidity. It has exceptional length.'
