DESCRIPTION
  • This well flavoured wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec sourced from some of the best vineyards in Mt Barker and Frankland River. Named after one of the pioneers of the region, it is beautifully textured with intense berry fruit characters and great length. Enjoy now or after careful cellering.

  • WINEMAKER'S NOTES

    Frankland River and Mount Barker

    TASTING NOTES

An amazingly inky & dense crimson with a purple red hue.  Intense aromas of dark berry fruits e.g. boysenberry & blackcurrant, with complexing dry savoury spice and lifted violets. Beautifully full flavoured with great texture. The rich, dark berry fruit flavours are very well balanced by the drying tannins from the fruit and the well-integrated oak and gives this wine its great length and persistence of flavour. This is a wine with the depth of fruit and a spicy finish to be enjoyed while still young, but will also reward a few years in the cellar.

'From estate vineyards in Mount Barker and Frankland River. Bright, clear crimson hue; achieves the impossible of elegance and finesse in the midst of luxuriant cabernet's cassis and malbec's plum jam. The undeniably silky tannins manipulated by an unseen puppet master create the magic.'
