At Bodega Argento the focus is placed on Argentina's wine heritage and the unique terroir of Mendoza.
They are dedicated to making wines that express a true varietal character. Fruit purity, freshness, vibrancy and elegance are the distinct hallmarks of the Argento style.
Argento Reserva is a limited selection of fuller-bodied wines with a greater concentration of fruit and complexity. The grapes used to make these wines come from Argento's oldest vineyards in Mendoza, where productions are steadier. These grapes are exceptionally intense and expressive. These wines age in oak barrels for 6 to 9 months, thus providing rich complex flavors on the palate and a soft mouth texture.
100% Malbec. Vineyards at 950m above sea level. Stainless steel fermentation, followed by 9 months maturation in 20% American and 80% French oak.
Argento Reserva Malbec is dark violet and offers concentrated aromas of black plums, cherries, and blackberries. These vibrant black fruit flavors provide a pleasing structure on the palate, and the predominant French oak characters coming from its aging in barrels for six to nine months blend perfectly, providing a delicate mouth texture.
Vibrant blackberry aromas with cassis essence, too. The palate has a smooth array of fruit tannins that hold even and fresh. Very approachable.'
