DESCRIPTION
  • Originally founded in the beautiful Langhorne Creek region, Bleasdale has constantly strived to capture the essence of the vineyards and vintages through their wines. Apart from their highly acclaimed red wines, grown on the original property, in 2011 Bleasdale began sourcing Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc from the cooler Adelaide Hills region, and has quickly built a reputation for quality and value white wines.

  • WINEMAKER'S NOTES

Individual blocks are picked separately before wild yeast fermentation on full juice solids in French oak puncheons. Partial malolactic fermentation in oak, 25% new, and lees stirred weekly for 9 months before blending and bottling.

    TASTING NOTES

Attractive stone fruit and citrus aromas with complexity from maturation on fermentation lees. The palate is fine and long with persistent flavour supported by oak structure and length. Will drink well over the next 5 years

  • REVIEWS

'Quartz green and bright. Wild yeast, full solids juice and partial malo in puncheons is the back story. Articulate and elegant chardonnay with white stone fruit, lemon citrus, yeast derived complexity and toasty oak all expertly placed. No single element dominates and there's a lovely citric tang to the finish that adds length and persistence. Stylish drinking for the price - that's the real story.'
