  • WHO MADE IT?
  • THE BRIEF
  • Fiano is an ancient grape variety grown most commonly in Sicily and Campania. The growing conditions in these regions are closely aligned to Rutherglen, with warm days, moderate evenings and extended autumns. The wine typically has an intense nose, strong flavour and high natural acidity. - Colin & Jules Campbell

  • THE FINER DETAILS
  • The grapes were harvested in the cool hours of the early morning and crushed straight to press. Only a free run fraction was taken (550L/T) with a light clarification before fermentation. The juice was inoculated with a cultured yeast to maximise the varietal character and aromatic potential. Medium bodied with zingy acidity upfront, showcasing notes of racy citrus and peach. Colin Campbell

    WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?

Rich yellow straw. Scents of lifted citrus and field blossom with punchy acidity. Medium bodied with zingy acidity upfront, showcasing notes of racy citrus and peach.

  • WHO MADE IT?
  • The Campbell's are a fifth generation winemaking family dedicated to continuing a tradition begun in 1870, of producing premium quality wines that reflect the distinctive characteristics of the Rutherglen region. Drawing on their intimate knowledge of the region the Campbell's can ensure that they grow grapes of the highest quality. The result is traditional styles of wines with finesse and a subtle use of oak complementing the full fruit flavours.Colin Campbell is the winemaker at his family's estate. Colin completed his diploma of Oenology at Roseworthy Agricultural College in South Australia. On his return to Rutherglen he brought with him new skills and oversaw the rapid expansion of the fermentation cellar to pioneer a new era for wine in the Rutherglen district.
