DESCRIPTION
  • Domaine de Beaurenard commands over 25 ha of vineyard in Rasteau, in Rhone Valley (approximately 25 km from their vineyard in Châteauneuf du Pape). Here they produce Rasteau and a portion of this Côtes-du-Rhône. The other part comes from 6 Ha located in Orange, north of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. All the vineyards are certified organic.

A mix dominated by Grenache for body and structure, combined with the fruit and elegance of Syrah enhanced by a touch of Mourvèdre and Cinsault.

  • WINEMAKER'S NOTES

The grapes are destemmed and ferment during 15 to 24 days, with wild yeast. We have chosen to privilege aromas and harmony than too much extraction. Then the wine is clarified and aged during about 6 months in tanks and a small part in oak “foudres” (30hl barrels) before the bottling realized with care at the Estate.

    TASTING NOTES

Deep ruby color. Raspberry and scrubland with smoky notes and a touch of blackcurrant. In the mouth, the intense raspberry is complemented by notes of black cherry, very pleasant freshness with a beautiful roundness.
