DESCRIPTION
  • Wines by KT are small, lovingly cared for parcels of fruit that have traditional techniques used in their creation. Winemaker Kerri Thompson is passionate about the township of Watervale 5452 and working with dry grown, sustainably farmed vineyards in the area. With gentle care from grapegrower to winemaker, working with both organic and biodynamic principles, it’s her intention to produce wines with drinkability and personality.

    The Peglidis vineyard has been carefully tended by the same custodians for the last forty six years and is an important wine growing source for wines by KT. This dry Riesling and its intense fruit flavour, shows graceful power and is balanced with juicy acidity.

    The hand picked fruit from the Peglidis vineyard, which is focused on natural farming, is Kerri Thompson's eleventh release from this vineyard. With delicate floral spice and succulent, fleshy citrus fruit, this wine displays all the fine hallmarks of the Watervale region.

    TASTING NOTES

    Arguably one of Australia's greatest Rieslings here and from a vintage that truely captures the spirit of the winemaker and site. Fistfuls of lemon balm, white flowers, fenugreek, nashi pear and mandarin. Striking length and an unyielding finish. Wicked wine that Australia should take in the same stride as the likes of Grosset, Pikes and Frankland Estate.
