  • Named after the ‘Real Mauresque’ river which runs through the Domaine, this forward-thinking winery is one of the select group of Côtes de Provence vineyards awarded Cru Classé status in 1955, a classification mirroring that of the great Bordeaux châteaux and based on the quality of the wines and heritage of the properties. Winemaker Pierre Duffort produces a collection of elegant characterful wines from 57 hectares of prime vineyards with an average vine age of 40 years (the oldest being planted in 1930) on three very diverse terroirs (schist, pink sandstone and galets roulés)

'Rimo' is a new label for Rimauresq, although the wine might be familiar. It used to delight under the name 'Petit Rimauresq,' and was created by Pierre Duffort to celebrate the complexity and expression of the terroirs of central Provence.

The cru classé Domaine de Rimauresq in the Provençal village of Pignans makes top quality rosé that has won many competitions and medals. However, the production is limited to the yield from their own vineyards. In order to meet the increasing demand, winemaker Pierre Duffort decided not to increase his own production by allowing a higher yield, but to buy grapes from local winemakers.

Although these colleagues do not have the cru-classé status, they are accompanied by Pierre throughout the growing season. They also work according to the strict guidelines that form the basis for the Rimauresq success.

This is a classic Provence rosé - ultra-pale pink in the glass with restrained herbal flavours with a clean and refreshing finish.
