  • WHO MADE IT?
  • THE FINER DETAILS
  • The Chardonnay grapes of Roche Mazet are harvested manually during the night or at the beginning of the morning in order to avoid the oxidation of the wort. Pressing, settling and fermentation: the wort are settled and put in fermentation between 15°C and 17°C to optimize the tropical aromas and tree fruits. Wines are raised on skinny lees for 2 to 3 months with a regular stirring which allows more volume in mouth and aromatic complexity.

    WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?

Roche Mazet Chardonnay displays a luminous pale yellow with golden tints. On the nose, it has an elegant blend of honeyed pear, fresh almond and sweet spice aromas. On the palate, it is creamy and velvety with woody and vanilla flavours. The wine is crafted into a perfect combination of balance, roundness and elegance.

  • WHO MADE IT?
  • ‘Roche’ is French for “rock” in reference to the clayey limestone soils of the Pays d'Oc region. ‘Mazet’ is a stone shelter for farmers, winegrowers and breeders, symbolising a person in the very middle of the vines. Founded in 1998 inside Société des Vins de France, Roche Mazet’s sole ambition is to commercialise a well-made and affordable Pays d’Oc wine. The brand was launched in 1998 with a small range of two varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon. The range grew, adding new grape varieties and different formats. Today, Roche Mazet offers 7 varieties as still wines and 3 sparkling.
