'I consider Dan Standish the reigning king of Barossa Shiraz. Sourced from single old-vine plantings in the subregions of Ebenezer, Marananga, Greenock and Hutton Vale, this is a prodigious collection of wines, meticulously produced in tiny quantities from old vines and low yields.'
Joe Czerwinski - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate

'A great and unique single-vineyard shiraz and a wine with phenomenal depth of flavor, delivered with such balance and grace.'
    97 Points - James Suckling

Nothing short of a miracle. This latest Lamella Shiraz is a wondrous wine that has few, if any peers in Australia. Sourced from the Eden Valley, it is a Shiraz that outshines even the biggest of challengers from the area (that includes you Hill of Grace). Where else on earth can you get so much latent power, precision and tannin definition in a wine that still seems poised and balanced. Dan Standish is the wonder-kid and this is his best gear yet.

    WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?

Fragrantly scented, tautly structured and finely poised - this represents the coiled reserve of the Eden Valley. Valley. Delicately portioned and beautifully balanced its fragrant notes of acacia petal, crème de cassis and parfait amour are supported by an underlying swath of Szechuan pepper, Guatemalan cocoa and cool limestone. Supple, lithe, its youthful ease shouldn’t detract from the sea of promise it holds for the future.

Extraordinary fragrance and complexity really sets this apart, as does the very cleverly pitched ripeness that has impressive impact, without stepping over the mark. The blackberries and spices, raspberries and sweet florals lead to a palate that has a fresh array of intense fruit. A great and unique single-vineyard shiraz and a wine with phenomenal depth of flavor, delivered with such balance and grace. Drink or hold.
