DESCRIPTION
  • Born and raised in Gippsland, William has been making wine in various places for 15 years. His wines have, until recently, been made from purchased fruit from the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula and South Gippsland. As of 2017 he and Patrick Sullivan lease 5 vineyards in Baw Baw Shire and farm them organically.

  • WINEMAKER'S NOTES

This may be my favourite Gippsland bottling of recent years. The wine has the fruit intensity of 2016 and 2013 but with the balance and finesse of 2010.

    TASTING NOTES

It shows cherry, blackcurrant, damp red earth and wood spice on the nose. The palate has more black fruit as well as spice and some herbal undergrowth. It’s quite approachable now but will benefit from at least 5 years in the cellar.
