  • THE BRIEF
  • Bandol is perhaps the greatest region in the world in terms of producing quality Rose. The complexity and layers of flavour that are achieved in these wines is simply stunning.

Bastide de la Ciselette Lou Pigna is one such wine. The palest salmon-pink in the glass, it is deceptively light, until the aromas of red berries, herbal complexity, floral top notes, all lift from the glass in a symphony of flavour.

The palate is no less exciting, with a crisp, mineral-driven acidity lending vigour and focus to the layers of fruit.

A super wine regardless, at this price it's a must-buy. If you're a fan of dry, delicious and savoury Rose, then look no further.

  • WHO MADE IT?
  • Bastide de la Ciselette was founded in 2010 by Robert de Salvo. Born to generations of wine-growers, Robert gained experience in the local wine-grower’s cooperative before purchasing prime Bandol land with the goal of making his own wines. The winery began with the construction of a half-buried cellar, and success came quickly: his very first vintage was awarded a prize at the prestigious Concours Générale Agricole de Paris (Paris General Agricultural Show). Year after year, the Ciselette’s wines have gained both technical and commercial acclaim, and the winery’s sales have grown along with its reputation. Driven by a constant desire to develop and supported by his clients, Robert de Salvo has continued to invest in the vineyard in order to increase the production volume of the cellar and fermenting vats. 2015 was a watershed year for the winery. Bastide de la Ciselette acquired new parcels of land and built a storage hangar in order to optimize logistics and shipping. Thanks to the new hangar, domestic and international orders, which have grown steadily since the winery was founded, can now be handled even more quickly than in previous years. During the summer 2019, the wine estate received the label "Haute Valeur Environnementale” (high environmental value).

Delicious and long, with upfront, instantly attractive aromas of crushed raspberries, citrus, green bell pepper and chalk. Super-fresh palate, revealing further mineral lines, fabulous fruit persistence and finally a pleasing pinch of bitterness at the end.
