Dandelion Vineyards defies normal description, it is perhaps Australia's most quixotic fusion of vineyard and vigneron. Every bottle signs off with - Wish you were here... Every wine is sourced from a single site. Founder, owner, winemaker - Elena Brooks - is a polymath and perfectionist on a lifelong vinous treasure hunt, following the inspiration of the Dandelion Flower's Wishing Clock. Vineyards = Family. Wines = Children. Serious stuff. Proper fun, absolutely.
STEPHEN CREBER - HALLIDAY'S WINE COMPANION
Fruit from 90yo grenache bushvines at Gomersal. Free-run basket-pressed juice fermented in old French barriques; 20 weeks on lees (without mlf, fining or filtration) before bottling. Pink musk stick aromas, and an impression of the time in wood, without being oaky. Red-fruited flavours, cranberry and raspberry mainly, faintly sweetish but nicely dry on the finish.
A bright and creamy array of fresh strawberries, raspberries and redcurrants, delivered in a fresh, crunchy and candied style. Drink now. Screw cap.
