  • THE FINER DETAILS
  • Consisting of two parcels from our estate vineyard. Grapes were hand harvested at 11.5 Baume, 80% whole bunch pressed and cool fermented in stainless steel with 20% whole berry fermented in ceramic. The wine was then held on light lees until bottling in June 2018.

    WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?

In keeping with our house style yet proudly displaying the unique personality of our home vineyard. This single vineyard wine retains the pure citrus character of our other rieslings but with a fresh green melon character not found in our other wines.

  • WHO MADE IT?
  • Situated in the picturesque Hall Valley, in the Murrumbidgee River corridor, just outside the ACT, the Nick O'Leary estate incorporates a modern winemaking facility and a mature five hectare vineyard. Since their beginnings, well over a decade ago, their focus has always been to make hand worked Shiraz and Riesling wines that truly exhibit the character of the region as well as expressing Nick's unique personality and style. His wines have received high profile recognition at a national and international level including the prestigious Stodart Trophy in 2014 and the NSW Wine of the Year in both 2014 and 2015 – the latter being the first and only time in the awards 20-year history that the accolade has been received multiple times by a single producer, let alone in consecutive years.

STEVEN CREBER - HALLIDAY'S WINE COMPANION

Slatey, minerally aromas are the introduction here; the fruit is reserved at first, gradually emerging to display hints of green apple, citrus and honeysuckle without really opening up too much. Likewise quite restrained on the palate, the flavours fruit-sweet and delicate; the fine, long finish a highlight.
