  • THE BRIEF
  • From Simon Killeen's hand comes a genuinely more interesting Sauv Blanc. From the chilly Victorian Alpine Valleys comes a Sauv that looks fleshier, riper, and less cat-pee-on-a-gooseberry-bush than most other Sauvs around. More involving wines like this please!

  • THE FINER DETAILS
  • WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?

Bright, fresh aromas of citrus, passionfruit and tropical fruit are just a taste of what is to come. The palate is loaded with juicy fruit supported by tight clean acidity that gives the wine it's length and refreshing finish. A great wine to enjoy right now.

  • WHO MADE IT?
  • Simon Killeen is a seventh generation winemaker born and raised in the Rutherglen region. His father and grandfather crafted some of the country's most legendary fortified wines, now Simon is taking up the mantle under his own label, Simão & Co. Simão (Portuguese for Simon) is a nod to his love of traditional Portuguese fortifieds and his time spent making wine in the Douro. Simon is deeply passionate about the wine and history of North-East Victoria. With a range that spreads from Beechworth to the King Valley and out to Glenrowan, he is making it his mission to spread the word on the unique wines from his home.

JANE FAULKNER - HALLIDAY'S WINE COMPANION

It has the right amount of enticing aromas some passionfruit, lemon blossom and that intriguing alpine pine needle character. Plenty of zest appeal with its juicy, citrussy palate, refreshing with some complex pith-like texture.
