Green Fruit, Nutty, Mature
Dark cherry, wild thyme and spice permeate from this rich, lively pinot noir from New Zealand's Marlborough region. It's silky and soft with Juicy acid and well-balanced tannins that will have you reaching for a second and third glass. A great food friendly red, it will pair beautifully with roast chicken or any gamey meats.
Native to New Zealand, the Totara tree has long been revered by both Maori and early European settlers for its remarkable qualities and diversity of uses. Equally diverse are the vineyards - from the stoney alluvial soils of Marlborough's Wairau plains and Awatere valley to the climatic extremes of Central Otago's Gibbston Valley and Cromwell Basin. This diversity enables Totara to capture the best characters each of these two spectacular regions has to offer and produce wines that are a true reflection of their terrior.
