JANE FAULKNER - HALLIDAY'S WINE COMPANION
A new wine and it's intriguing. At first there's an impression of whole bunches in the fermentation (not known) with plenty of stemmy, rhubarb and roasted beetroot aromas, then magic happens. It shifts to a flurry of dark cherries, a dusting of cinnamon, menthol, wood smoke and lots more. But it really is the medium-bodied palate that stars with its supple, silky tannins, neatly integrated oak and raspberry-acidity.
