Fragrant tropical fruit tones of custard apple, pawpaw and lychee are lifted by hints of lime marmalade, bread dough and herb nuances. Light, soft and creamy sweet tropical fruit is balanced by fresh crisp acidity and a hint of herbs. A light, easy finish with beautiful crisp pith texture.

  • WHO MADE IT?
  • Vasse Felix was the first vineyard and winery to be established in Western Australia’s Margaret River region. Established in 1967 by Dr Tom Cullity, it is situated in the Willyabrup sub region where ancient soils and cooling Southern and Indian Ocean breezes provide ideal conditions for fine wine production. Vasse Felix is owned and operated by the Holmes a Court family. The Vasse Felix winemaking team shares a common goal in crafting wines of exceptional quality from unique vineyard sites. Under the direction of Chief Winemaker Virginia Willcock, the objective remains the same today as it did 40 years ago. A precise understanding of local viticulture and environment is coupled with a hands on winemaking approach. The Vasse Felix style shows concentration and complexity while retaining signature elegance and finesse. It is a testament to winemaking and viticultural dedication and attention to detail throughout the year. The revered Vasse Felix Heytesbury wines are produced in limited quantities from a barrel selection of the finest fruit parcels each vintage. Vasse Felix continues to be one of the most highly awarded and visited wineries in Australia.

JANE FAULKNER - HALLIDAY'S WINE COMPANION

A 66/34% split of semillon and sauvignon blanc, it's bright and as cheery as a summer's day, the best time to enjoy this. Fresh and brimming with lemon-lime flavours complementing the tropical edge of feijoa and passionfruit pith with a sprinkling of fresh herbs. Refreshing all the way.

HUON HOOKE - THE REAL REVIEW

Light, bright yellow colour, with a salad-leafy aroma, fresh and crisp and herby, without being green and parsley-stalky.The wine is intense and balanced, fresh and clean yet soft and dry at the same moment. Cedary, nutty notes add interest and a welcome complement to the herbal notes. A very appealing wine.

RALPH KYTE-POWELL - THE REAL REVIEW

Vasse Felix is one of Margaret River's benchmark estates, consistently offering wines of very high quality. The quality emphasis doesn't only apply to the winery's top-end drops either, more modest critters like this blend excel too, making Vasse Felix a label to look for across a range of price points. Classic Dry White has a subtext to the name which is Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, reflecting its varietal make-up. The 2019 version has delicious purity of light passionfruit, lime and herbal aromas that are ripe and inviting. The palate has unusual depth for the style, with a hint of fruit sweetness, persistent flavours, good structure, and tangy balance. A delicious warm-weather white.

CAMPBELL MATTINSON - THE WINE FRONT

Margaret River blend of semillon and sauvignon blanc. It's a jolly white with flavour galore. Tropical fruit with dry grass-like notes. The texture is velvety too, adding to the pleasure. Can't really go wrong here. The simple things in life.
