  • The Mariinsk Distillery, where Beluga Vodka is made, was established in 1900 in the heart of Siberia. Its success and longevity are down to the crystal clear and pure waters of Siberian artesian wells, that result in a cleaner, more delicate distillate. Today, they distillery still uses these pure waters, alongside cutting-edge technology and advanced quality control to produce one of Russia's greatest Vodkas.

The Gold Line is the pinnacle of Beluga's range of crafted Vodkas. Made using the same pure Siberian water as the rest of its stablemates, the Gold Line is filtered 5 times, as opposed to the usual 3. It also rests for 90 days after distillation, resulting in the smoothest and most refined expression yet.

Produced on the outskirts of Siberia, 300 km from the nearest settlement, at the Mariinsk Distillery. The Vodka is built on a foundation of malt spirit which undergoes the processes of quartz filtration and post-sand filtration before enduring a 3-month maturation period.

Water is the key component in the production of Beluga vodka, accounting for 60% of its unique formula. It comes from 300-meter deep artesian wells in the bedrock of Siberia.

Another principal component in the Beluga recipe is a special malt spirit, rarely found today in regular vodka, mainly due to its cost and the labour-intensive production technologies it requires. Yet, there is another important secret in Beluga's recipe: its production cycle includes a final, conclusive phase – maturation. Depending on the vodka's grade it may last from one to three months.

Particular to the Gold Line Vodka, an extract of rhodiola rosea is added to give a delicate floral note.

Pristine, crystal clear appearance with a faint straw tinge. The super soft aroma is bordering on neutral, but opens to a creamy and luxurious nose, yielding flashes of citrus blossom, talc and whisper light spices that issue a gentle prickle after deeper inhalation. An impeccably clean, supple entry leads into a round, semi sweet profile featuring a glowing spirit warmth and delicate spices adding depth and length to the creamy-yet-dry mid palate. Traces of vanilla and a herbal/pepper note become apparent towards the finish and run through to the crisp, subtle grassy, vanilla aftertaste. Even more so than most vodkas, this is textural territory, bordering on complete neutrality. A squeaky clean and highly polished effort.
