DESCRIPTION
  • The Bream Creek vineyard was planted in 1974 by Fred Peacock. One of the first commercial vineyards established in the Apple Isle state, it has long been considered one of the very best sites in Eastern Tasmania. Fred's premium cool-climate wines are concentrated and long, thanks to the mature vines and low yields.

  • WINEMAKER'S NOTES

Vintage 2016 was simply spectacular in Tasmania. Perfect growing conditions provided the platform to grow fruit that was of excellent quality, with fantastic balance between flavour and physiological ripeness.

    TASTING NOTE

A Sauvignon Blanc in the traditional Bream Creek style with aromas of gooseberry, green pea and hints of passionfruit. It has a crisp palate of citrus fruits, guava and herbs with excellent balance and length.

  • REVIEWS

'Gold medals for Sauvignon Blanc in the Tasmanian Wine Show are rare beasts, making the award for this wine particularly meaningful. It's all about the vineyard, Fred Peacock a legendary viticulturist, the picking date spot on. The flavours offer the best of both worlds, with citrus, stone fruit and snow pea nuances woven tightly together. Titratable acidity and low level sweetness on the finish seal the deal.'
