DESCRIPTION
  • Gordon & MacPhail is one of the most famous independent Whisky bottlers in the world today. While they also produce beautiful Speyside malts under their own label, Benromach, their history and reputation is firmly based in maturing and bottling malts acquired from various distilleries all over Scotland. The wonderful advantage of maturing and bottling from other distilleries is the range and freedom it gives them - rather than being tied down to one region or style, they offer whiskies from every region! Located in the North-East of Scotland, they have been bottling Single Malts for over 119 years.

Passion for single malt Scotch whisky has been at the heart of Gordon & MacPhail's family business for four generations. The Connoisseur's Choice range is an ever-changing collection of unique perspectives on various distilleries - non-chill-filtered, single cask and small batch expressions bottled at cask strength and exceptional one-offs. For the malt whisky explorer, it promises a journey of discovery through different flavours, finishes, strengths and vintages.

This expression from Benriach Distillery was laid into refill American hogsheads in 1997, then bottled at its cask strength of 56% ABV, in June, 2018. Very limited in its release, this is definitely one for the Whisky Connoisseurs out there!
