  • Oak, Complex, Herbal, Tropical Fruit Deep, brilliant old gold. 100% Topaque

    WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?

A consistent award winner, this brilliant gold coloured topaque is an exquisite combination of toffee, honey and cold tea characters completed by a hint of spirit and old oak. For the perfect food match, try rich steamed puddings, caramel desserts, chocolates or simply pair with a quality Italian espresso as an after-dinner drink.

  • WHO MADE IT?
  • The Campbell's are a fifth generation winemaking family dedicated to continuing a tradition begun in 1870, of producing premium quality wines that reflect the distinctive characteristics of the Rutherglen region. Drawing on their intimate knowledge of the region the Campbell's can ensure that they grow grapes of the highest quality. The result is traditional styles of wines with finesse and a subtle use of oak complementing the full fruit flavours.Colin Campbell is the winemaker at his family's estate. Colin completed his diploma of Oenology at Roseworthy Agricultural College in South Australia. On his return to Rutherglen he brought with him new skills and oversaw the rapid expansion of the fermentation cellar to pioneer a new era for wine in the Rutherglen district.

JANE FAULKNER - HALLIDAY'S WINE COMPANION

Pale amber hue with a red tinge; enticing toffee/caramel aromas plus lapsang souchong and lemon barley. Luscious but not heavy and an excellent introduction to this unique Australian style. For a Rutherglen classification, this is spot on. 375ml.

JAMES HALLIDAY - HALLIDAY'S WINE COMPANION

There's an argument to say that the youngest tier of topaque is the most enjoyable, it's so immediately compelling (and dangerous). There are shortbread biscuits, spices galore and honey all to be had.

Quite sweet, nicely fresh with some tea and a touch of honey and madiera cake. Nice balance, lacks old material
