  • THE BRIEF
  • Charles is a confirmed traveller and free-spirited, smooth-talking gentleman entrepreneur, focused on his champagne business. His elegant eloquence is much admired. His impetuosity is impressive. His champagnes embody his personality: emblematic and unique.

  • THE FINER DETAILS
  • 80% of the year's wines are composed of equal portions of Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, while the 20% of reserve wines are made up of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay. Each are vinified cru by cru, varietal by varietal, in stainless steel vats.

To ensure the ideal balance of freshness and elegance on one hand and structure and complexity on the other, the Cellar Master bides by a House principle, intentionally selecting reserve wines that are younger than those of the Brut Reserve. The red reserve wines, from the leading Pinot Noir terroirs, date from up to 5 years before the last harvest.

    WHAT SHOULD YOU EXPECT?

The subtle, yet complex nose reveals initial fragrances of home-made strawberry jam mixed with the fruitiness of vineyard peaches. Warm velvety notes of gingerbread. The deep powerful mouthfeel offers a burst of strawberry, raspberry and blackberry nestled in velvety whipped cream.

  • WHO MADE IT?
  • Charles Heidsieck was founded in 1851 when Charles was just 29 years old. The wines represents a world of elegance and indulgence, beautifully balanced and captivatingly complex. The quality demands meticulous attention; a fine-tuned dose of unconventional decisions at each step of the champagne production process. Each wine has its own personality, its own generous tone. The fresh elegance of Chardonnay. The structure of Pinot Noir. The generosity of Meunier. Blending wines of the year with reserve wines is specific to Champagne; the perfect alliance demands exceptional expertise.

Attractive pale red color. The nose has pure and fresh red berry fruit aromas with a little pastry-like complexity; really vibrant. The palate's a little richer than the nose suggests, but still crisp and packed with light red berry fruit flavors. Strawberry really singles itself out on the finish. Balanced, supple and smooth.
