NV Emilio Lustau Vermut Blanco

This is a blend based around two classic Jerez wines: a dry Fino Sherry, and a Moscatel. These wines are infused with wormwood, marjoram, rosemary, gentian, orange peel and camomile to give the whole an incredibly complex bouquet. This works in many cocktails, but is more commonly drunk over ice as an apéritif. (Rob Whitehead)Good labels and inventiveness! Very pale straw. Botanicals smell is very herbal and natural and appealing, if a bit like the cosmetics in a department store. I like the bitterness though and am grateful to Berry Brother’s & Rudd to have forced me to taste this. SO much more exciting than the average commercial vermouth. Bitter certainly.
