This bubbly is the epitome of fun and celebration. Vibrant and zingy, it's driven by green apple and wild strawberry flavours balanced by lemon and lime tartness. A subtle undertone of creaminess morphs into a sherbet tang as it drifts toward a long, dry-ish finish. A great value fizz, it makes a great partner for shellfish or enjoy as a celebration in itself!
South Australia's first vineyards were established in the 1830's. Enjoying a wide range of climates including the cool temperatures of the Adelaide Hills, to the hot summer weather of the Barossa Valley, South Australia is arguably Australia's most diverse wine producing state. It is from these wonderfully diverse regions that winemaker Marty O'Flaherty selects the best varietals to produce Mojo wines. Marty's resounding philosophy is "wine should tell a story about the terroir in which it's grown, needing lots of love but minimal handling by allowing the growers to do what they do best."
TYSON STELZER - HALLIDAY'S WINE COMPANION
This is a complex recipe and a compelling wine for the price, contrasting the bright, tangy fruit of the Adelaide Hills with the well managed complexity of oak fermentation (one-third new, but you wouldn't pick it). A pretty blush hue and low dosage make for a fun party style. Tank fermentation deprives it of texture and carry on the finish, but you can't have everything at this price.
LISA PERROTTI-BROWN MW - WINE ADVOCATE
The NV Mojo Fizz Chardonnay Pinot Noir has a pleasantly yeasty/ toasty, biscuit-laced nose over a core of apple tart, peach blossoms and honey aromas. The palate is dry in style with just a touch of sweetness. It offers a good persistence of medium sized bubbles, racy acid and a decent flavor concentration, finishing medium-long. Drink it now.
