If we’ve said it once we’ve said it a million times: Champagne is not the last word in sparkling wines. Sure they may have some pretty epic marketing but there’s no monopoly on bubbly and there are SO MANY great bottles out there that fly under the radar simply because they haven’t got the big ‘C’ on their label.
Case in point - Veuve d'Argent. These guys were founded in Burgundy, that mythical land known for still chardonnay and pinot noir but now make wine from fruit sourced from the Loire as well. They’ve been making epic fizz for over a hundred years.
This Cuvee Prestige is all chardonnay. Think white flowers, apricot and hazelnut with a fine, slightly creamy bubble. Great as an aperitif or to sip on all night long.Technical Attributes
