  • It's Shiraz time. Nothing more, nothing less.

Well, except for the fact this isn't just any old Shiraz. This is big-game hunting. We are going straight to the top of the food chain with some of the pointiest, thirst-inducing Shiraz around, and all for the incredibly price of $99 a case.

That's just madness. Not only will you receive a $60 bottle of aged 97 Point scoring Shiraz from Rockcliffe in the Great Southern in this pack, but you also get five other incredibile wines, each with their own splendid reviews and equally as splendid saving off the RRP. For that kind of money, and for that kind of pointage (probably not a word, but let's make it one, just for now) I reckon we might just be able to nudge ol' Dan Murphy's share price down for a day or two. Try getting this much value out of a six pack case, I dare you.

Each case will feature six absolutely top-notch wines, including the affordmentioned Rockcliffe Single Site Shiraz, plus three 95 pointers from Halliday ( Chalk Hill, Watershed & West Cape Howe), an aged Barossan beauty from Charles Cimicky, and a stonking everyday red from Alex Head. To cap it all off - two of the wines featured in Halliday's Top 100 list from 2018. Ready, set, go.

The $99 Shiraz Sampler contains one bottle of each of the following six wines:

2012 Rockcliffe Single Site Great Southern Shiraz
    (97 Points, James Halliday)
    RRP - $60

2017 Head Cellar Reserve Barossa Valley Shiraz
(90 Points - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front)
    RRP - $20

2014 Watershed Senses Margaret River Shiraz
    (95 Points, James Halliday)
    RRP - $30

2017 West Cape Howe Frankland River Shiraz
(95 Points, James Halliday Top 100 Wines of 2018)
    RRP - $22

2017 Chalk Hill Luna McLaren Vale Shiraz
(95 Points, James Halliday Top 100 Wines of 2018)
    RRP - $20

2014 Charles Cimicky Trumps Barossa Valley Shiraz
    (92 Points, James Halliday)
    RRP - $20

    2012 Rockcliffe Single Site Shiraz

'Vivid colour; a beautifully made cool climate shiraz, super-fragrant and pulsing with life on its endless medium-bodied palate; here red and black fruits, allspice and finely etched tannins form a tapestry that draws you back again and again. Drink tonight or any time along the way over the next 25 years.'

    97 Points - James Halliday

    2017 Head Cellar Reserve Shiraz

'Dark and spicy, a bit of earth, subtle floral notes. Medium bodied, gently earth, supple and soft, attractive Barossa Shiraz flavor, delivered with a bit of polish and finesse. Hard to imagine anyone being unhappy with this.'
    90 Points - Gary Walsh

    2014 Watershed Senses Shiraz

'Night-harvested, 4 days cold soak, small batch-fermented for up to 2 weeks, matured for 8 months in American (27% new), Hungarian (7.5% new) and French (5.5% new) oak. Deep colour; a very complex shiraz, in terms of flavour and structure; oak plays a significant role in the mocha/dark chocolate/spice components, but the purple and black fruits are more than a match, assisted by tannins in creating the stimulating texture on the back-palate and finish.'
    95 Points - James Halliday

2017 West Cape Howe Frankland River Shiraz

'The spicy black cherry/berry aromas of the bouquet show the way for the palate to follow, and it does just that, also adding its own character to the fine, but persistent, tannins,
part from fruit, part the new and used French oak in which this estate-grown wine was matured.'
    95 Points - James Halliday

    2014 Charles Cimicky Trumps Shiraz

'Deliciously poised. Redcurrant, blackberry and boysenberry flavours float into fragrant herb and coal-like areas. It's a compact wine but it has excellent weight and impact and is, therefore, a steal.'
    92 Points - James Halliday

    2017 Chalk Hill Luna Shiraz

95 Points - James Halliday, Top 100 Wines of 2018
