DESCRIPTION
  • This might just be the case of wine we are most proud of here at My Wine Guy, and not just because it features are favourite grape Pinot Noir.

As we all know, Pinot can be a fickle grape and hard to get right (especially when it lands for under $30 a bottle), so to get six superstar wines together like this and have it ship to your door for $149 a case is no mean feat.

Featuring the likes of First Foot Forward's enigmatic 95 point Yarra Pinot, the brilliant Reserve release from the Strathbogie Ranges Costanzo & Sons, plus a little classics in both the Holm Oak, Cape Bernier and of course De Bortoli's celebration of the Lusatia Park vineyard in the form of their Riorret wine, we are certain you will absolutely love this case of wine.

Normally retailing for a total of $240 for the lot, we are offering this case up for a short time only at the incredible price of $149, a massive saving on these high class wines.

2017 De Bortoli Riorret Pinot Noir

'Lusatia Park pinot noir from an excellent vintage. Not that we want to get ahead of ourselves. It’s a sinewy beast. It has flesh and fruit sweetness but peppery, twiggy characters abound. I don’t have the winemaking specs but you’d imagine that there’s a fair amount of whole bunch influence here. There are jellied characters too, and a swoosh of svelte, creamy, cedarwood oak. It’s still coming up, still finding its feet and growing into itself. But I have no hesitation in calling the quality on offer here ‘high’.

95 Points - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front

2017 First Foot Forward Pinot Noir

'Takes a little time to wind up and get into gear, but having done so offers a very complex bouquet of plums and baker's spices, the palate gaining length and purpose each time I came back to it, although the flavour spectrum didn't crumble..'
    95 Points - James Halliday

    2017 Precipice Pinot Noir

'Light to medium red-purple colour, very bright and youthful. The bouquet is shy and reserved but clean and fragrant, with red cherry to strawberry nuances. A light, almost ethereal pinot of considerable charm.'
    Huon Hooke

    2017 Holm Oak Pinot Noir

'Medium to full red colour with the faintest purple tinge. Sweet tobacco and foresty aromas, the wine is complex and rewarding, with full-ish body and ample tannins. The finish is long and firm with plenty of grip and the concentration of flavour is excellent. A gutsy style of pinot that will handle stronger foods.'
    93 Points - Huon Hooke
