    2017 Kerrigan + Berry Riesling

'The grapes come from the Langton Vineyard planted in the early 1970's, curious labelling for a single vineyard wine. It has a richly scented bouquet with tropical and citrus aromas in abundance, then a palate of awesome power and length, focusing as it does on the citrus and minerally components of a Grand Vin.'
97 Points - James Halliday (July/August 2018 Halliday Magazine Edition)

'Delicate aromatics introduce a steely, defined palate with sublime lemony intensity. It is powerful, yet pure, with a long, persistent finish. If drinking young, serve alongside oysters natural or salty olives. Though if you can resist, stash a case away in the cellar as it will age beautifully.'
95 Points - Toni Patterson, MW

'From Block 6 of the Langton property at Mt Barker. Not so complex – it’s young, after all – but the fruit intensity is far above the norm. This is killer riesling juice. Strong lime and mineral with a flash of the old wet slate. Pretty damn compelling.'
94 Points - Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front

'Pale hue and a very young, callow aroma which is dusty, earthy, faintly floral and lacks a little in fruit expression. The palate is similar: high-acid and tangy, a little austere and unready. It demands food if broached this young. Lots of lemon juice which lingers. It needs fish!'
    92 Points - Huon Hooke

Silver Medal - Perth Wine Show 2017

    2015 Flowstone Chardonnay

'Whole-bunch pressed, fermented in French oak (25% new), mlf, matured for 11 months, occasional stirring, plus a further 30 months in bottle before release. I know of no other Aus maker of chardonnay who holds the wine for 30 months prior to sale. Gleaming straw-green; there are few chardonnays from '15 with the intensity and freshness of this wine It is as fresh as a daisy, and despite its power and concentration, moves with athletic grace across the palate and aftertaste A beautiful chardonnay. 320 dozen made.'
    97 Points - James Halliday

    2015 Suckfizzle Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

'Always a regional tour de force, this has high quality Graves written all over it; not merely fermented in French oak (60% new), but aged as well (40% new) for 14 months, with incremental batonnage to amplify the compelling textural detail. A citrus choir with the focus on lemon: lemon grass, lemon curd and ripe Meyer, all soaring along a balancing beam of vanilla cream oak. This is world class, transcending the general malaise when it comes to these oft-abused varieties.'
97 Points - Ned Goodwin MW (Halliday Wine Companion)

Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc of the Year 2019 - Halliday Wine Companion

2016 Wynns The Gables Cabernet Sauvignon

'Blood plum, currant and anise scents are sheathed in a smooth veneer of detailed, gravelly and yet, impeccably massaged tannins. Together with juicy acidity, these serve as a welcome signpost to the fruit while conferring authority and a welcome savouriness. The finish is long and saline, laying bay leaf and strewn herb across the gums while expanding the flavours across the palate. This is fine, highly refined cabernet with compelling vinosity and sap. Sue Hodder is a cabernet wunderkind with wines firmly stamped with a regional footprint.'
97 Points - Ned Goodwin, Wine Companion 2019

    2017 Giant Steps Pinot Noir

''Wild yeast open-fermented with 20% whole bunches, matured for 7 months in French oak (10% new), gravity bottled. Very good colour; the intensity of the aromas and flavours unfolding with the first sip stop you in your tracks. The whole bunch component is evident, but not dominant, simply one of many factors in shaping the flavour and texture of this lovely wine.'
    97 Points - James Halliday

    2016 Paringa Estate PE Shiraz

'Absolutely classic Paringa, one of the best - if not the best - of the early starters, with full-on cool climate shiraz thrust. Likewise, classic blackberry, blood plum and licorice flavours are supported by fine tannins and subtle oak.'
    97 Points - James Halliday
