Trapeze Wines

Winemaker Brian Conway is well known for his work co-founding and building the excellent cult Barossa label Izway, moving on in 2018 to spend more time with family in Victoria. A wine making hiatus for Bri was never going to last, though, and he’s now revitalising his previous Victorian side hustle Trapeze Wines, turning out some thoughtful and detailed releases.
Brian’s wine journey is extensive, from early bottleshop and hospitality work, commencing with 1999 vintage in Sonoma County, USA. He moved on to Margaret River, with 2002 vintage at Chateau Bluizard, Beaujolais, the point he hatched plans with former business partner Craig Isabel to found Izway; it’s perhaps from here we see some significant influence into Trapeze.
