Classic Aussie red blend of Cabernet and Shiraz from the Barossa. Big, bold, full of flavour and generosity. The first impression is of a bottle that could do a stint in the weights room. Deep red hue in the centre with hints of maturity now emerging on the rim. The wine does exhibit some development on the nose and complexity is already evident. With aromas of warm earth and waxy red fruits, this has depth, balance and concentration. A fine example of what the Barossa does well. Quite silky on the palate, and loads of tannins are apparent, but they are rather seductive and it lingers with persistence. Lots to like here, and it has another five years or more of pleasure ahead of it.
Cabernet Shiraz with fruit development of spices of nutmeg, cloves and mixed spice aromas. Black coffee and dark organic chocolate note integrated with stewed cherries and plum. A dry vintage, 2014 produced concentrated fruit with a rich almost fortified finish on this wine.
