The Collective Review

'Wow, probably the best value for money wine I've bought in years ... having just tried it, it is a knock out.' Anton K - TWC Customer

A relatively new tier in this cult brand's family, this aged Mclaren Vale Shiraz is an absolute belter. The highest-quality grapes, quality oak, and the all-important passing of time have created this gorgeous 2016 Shiraz. Drinking absolutely perfectly right now, there is no need to cellar. As a mystery deal, the pricing is unheard of! The customer reviews tell you everything you need to know.

Tasting Notes

It is a wine that celebrates the elegance & intensity of flavours of old bush vine Shiraz. With spice & ripe cherries on the nose, a driving length of blood plums and an elegantly weighted palate, the flavours are balanced with soft tannins. Thoughtful viticulture & dedication to winemaking detail. From 65 year old vines.

Winemakers Note

The Shiraz was sourced primarily from this winery's 65-year-old dry-grown vineyard in Blewitt Springs, handpicked, cooled overnight, open-fermented, basket-pressed to 20% new and 80% used French oak for 15-18 months. Both black and blue fruits join hands with a touch of regional chocolate, the tannins fine in best Blewitt Springs style, oak no more than a conveyance.
