The 2020 Palliser Estate Luminary Pinot Noir is a vibrant and juicy New Zealand wine that is ready to enjoy right now. It's a flavoursome and balanced wine that delivers well above its asking price.
Very bright, ripe, lifted and fresh red fruited bouquet. Aromas and flavours of raspberries and plums some red currant, a layer of wood scents and flavours then acidity to carry all throughout the palate. There’s a floral aspect too with suggestions of fresh roses then pommegranate. An aundance of fine tannins and salivating acidity. Tasting Notes
Vivacious and concentrated, velvety flavours of cherry, plum and vanilla coat the palate, lingering long and lush. Luxury steers clear of decadence as the crunchy red-fruit acidity cleans up the whole finish, leaving a tantalising trail of fine tannin and savoury herbal complexity. Enjoy with Chinese duck, beef brisket and hard cheeses.
Winemakers Note
38% of the fruit from our Clouston Vineyard, 60% from Pencarrow, and the balance from our other Estate vineyards. A period of cold soak followed by predominantly wild ferments pressed to barrels and left to age, soften and gain complexity over 10 months.
