The Collective Review

The Central Ranges wine region is located on the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range in NSW and includes the towns of Mudgee, Orange, and Cowra. It is a lesser-known region to those outside the state, but for the lucky population of NSW it is a much-loved winery destination with a food and wine culture second to none.

Chain of Fire is named after a series of extinct volcanoes and celebrates the volcanic soil of the area, which allows for the growth of very high-quality grapes.

The Chardonnay is from the 2022 vintage and is a modern-style refreshing Chardonnay with a hint of citrus, along with fleshy white stone fruit flavours such as peach. It is a soft-finishing wine and a delight any night of the week.

Tasting Notes

Aromas of white nectarine, peach, and a subtle smokey toastiness. A rich and complex fruit-driven wine with gentle oak influence and fresh acidity.
