The Collective Review
This is no ordinary Yarra Pinot. It's luxurious, intense, and utterly captivating – a classic in the making. Jeni Port from Wine Pilot is raving about it with a whopping 95-point score. And the discount? Even sweeter.
Picture this: cherries meeting charred wood, plums diving into vanilla, all wrapped in a seductive tonka bean embrace. This Pinot is a BEAUTY and proudly wears its Yarra bow-tie with elegance.
This Mystery Pinot is beautifully perfumed, and absolutely lovely on the nose. The body is light, and delicately layered with cherry, crunchy red and black fruit, a touch of vanilla.
If there's one Yarra Valley Pinot Noir that you try, make sure that it's this Mystery!

One of those ‘one sniff’ kind of wines. One sniff and it comes together perfectly, instantly, with good balance across all of the main key areas. Plenty of Pinot character on display in lifted aromas of dark berries, plum, bracken, spice, fresh earth, undergrowth and leafy notes. Complex aromas give way to a firm palate with tannins forming a sturdy, structural thread through ripe fruit, spice and gentle oak. Everything is in its place, precise, youthful and fresh, but should you wish, it is definitely a candidate for further ageing.
Floral bouquet nose, super pale colour, lovely fruit presence, berries, cherries and slight spice , lovely soft wine.
Tart red cherries and cranberry aromas, on the palate the wine is medium bodied, fruit forward style with red berries continuing on the palate, touch of bking spice from oak with vanilla, cinnamon, sandalwood, with lovely violets in the finish.

Tasting Notes
This wine presents a rich array of flavors, featuring dark berries, plums, and a subtle blend of spices and earthy tones. The aroma hints at sweet berries with a touch of warm spice and toasted almonds. On the palate, it's well-structured, boasting ripe fruit and a gentle spice backbone, supported by smooth tannins. It offers a satisfying finish that lingers nicely. While it's ready to enjoy now, this wine also shows potential for further maturation.
Winemakers Note
Three different clones, G5V15, 114B & MV6, were added to individual fermenters as 100% whole bunch and sealed up to undergo a 7-10 day period of carbonic maceration. After this the fermenter was dug out, destemmed entirely and returned to the tank to finish primary fermentation as whole berry, with daily plunging. Once complete, the wine was gently pressed and matured in seasoned French oak 500L puncheons.
