The cracking Clare Valley Rieslings from 2023 just keep coming – a wonderful thing for all lovers of this great grape. This wonderful addition to the range is very pale lemon in colour and a classic Clare Riesling. Lemon blossom notes, florals, jasmine, spices, ginger, lemongrass and some riper citrus notes, notably lemon and grapefruit. There is very good length here and the wine is finely balanced with soft acidity. This will drink beautifully for ten to twelve years. Fabulous value.

The fruit flavours are open and ready to be tucked into here. It offers apple and much as lime though the side-lights are fennel and sweet potato, the latter particularly on the nose. You’d be happy with this in your glass. It feels generous and elegant at once.

Granny smiths with a touch of waxiness on the nose, on the palate the riesling has a lovely breadth to the palate with a medium plus body, there is green grape, under ripe nectarines, apple blossom, lemon blossom, grassy with long finish.
