Magarey Lane Glenroy Shiraz 2015 - Immensely complex and fragrant, the bouquet is filled with dark fruit richness, charcuterie, spicy oak and mocha characters, leading to a concentrated palate offering plush mouthfeel backed by bold tannins, finishing lingering and sturdy.
This is a stunning rendition of the variety, offering fruit purity, richness and immense complexity. The gloriously fragrant bouquet shows dark and purple fruit richness with violet, dark cocoa, subtle spice and cedar notes. It's concentrated and mouthfilling on the palate, displaying outstanding depth and intensity, leading to a gorgeous stylish finish. At its best: 2024 to 2038.
Captain Bruce Shiraz 2018 - This is magnificently expressed on the nose, showing dark fruit, warm spice, potpourri, cocoa and cedar characters, leading to a substantial palate offering dazzling fruit flavours with spicy complexity. Deeply flavoured and impressively long on the finish with loads of tasty flavours. At its best: now to 2035.
Big, broody, full-bodied shiraz made in an all-stops out style, bold dark fruits wrapped in good oak that knits neatly into the wine’s total expression and still allows for layered savoury complexities like tapenade and bay leaf. Solidly structured but not heavy, this is a shiraz of serious style and confidence. Drinking well now and will deliver good cellaring joy for 15 years.
Schoolhouse 2019 - Matured for 12 months in American and French oak. Impossibly blue and bright on the nose – blackberry pie, blueberry and fresh bay leaf. In the mouth the wine is satisfying and fresh, almost uncomplicated in its expression of succulent, saturated fruit flavour. It is velvety and full. The length is very good, it shows promise for the years ahead
